The CAF assists in providing reasonable accommodations to faculty, staff, and visiting or guest lecturers who need adaptive aids, assistive technology, or other reasonable accommodations. These funds are meant to supplement departmental efforts. Funds are not available to purchase basic/standard ergonomic equipment such as sit-stand desks or to make physical improvements or modifications to building structures. These items should be funded through the department/unit or other alternative means.

Before making a request through the CAF, you should request funding from your college, department, or unit. If funding is unavailable or insufficient, you may request support from the CAF. You will be asked to provide documentation from the department/unit regarding insufficiency of department/unit funds.
