Reporting

All members of the Cornell community have the right to make a report to the Cornell University Police Department, local law enforcement, and/or state police or choose not to report; to report the incident to Cornell; to be protected by Cornell from retaliation for reporting an incident; and to receive assistance and resources from Cornell.

See the following links to additional details.

Cornell encourages individuals to seek assistance for incidents involving gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, stalking, sexual exploitation, or other forms of sexual misconduct.  Cornell provides a variety of options available to an individual, so that each person may choose a path for response best suited to their particular situation.  Cornell’s procedures are intended to protect the rights of the complaining party (“the complainant”), the accused (“the respondent”), and the community.

Any allegation of sexual or related misconduct, including gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, stalking, sexual exploitation, or other forms of sexual misconduct brought against a Cornell student, staff, or faculty member will be taken seriously.
