Any student, staff, or faculty member who has concerns about sexual or related misconduct—including gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, stalking, sexual exploitation, or other forms of sexual misconduct—is encouraged to seek assistance from those listed below.  Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators will provide information on resources for assistance and option to address concerns.  While you may reach out to anyone listed below for an informational conversation or to report a concern, the Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator assigned to your constituency may be best able to help you.

The Associate Vice President for the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX and the University Title IX Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic vision and oversight to prevent incidents of discrimination through education and training, leading response efforts across Cornell’s campuses in the event of an incident, and ensuring compliance with applicable civil rights policy and legal requirements. Laura joined Cornell in 2020, having previously served in similar roles at public universities in Virginia. She is a Virginia-licensed attorney and Army veteran, who earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the College of William and Mary/Marshall-Wythe School of Law.

Nasser A. Siadat is responsible for investigating claims arising out of the Procedures for Resolutions of Reports Against Students, Staff, and Faculty Under Policy 6.4 in Ithaca-based units. Nasser came to Cornell University in 2018 with professional experience spanning the private, governmental, and non-profits sectors. Nasser received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Research & Public Policy from NYU Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. He received his Juris Doctorate as well as a Master of Laws (in Access to Civil Justice) from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Among other things, he enjoys coffee, marathon training, and collegiate athletics.

LaDreena Walton is an equity and title ix investigator responsible for conducting investigations pursuant to the Procedures for Resolutions of Reports Against Students, Staff and Faculty Under Cornell Policy 6.4.  LaDreena joined Cornell in 2019, having most recently worked as an investigator of police misconduct in San Francisco, and as a federal officer for several years prior.  She has an undergraduate degree from Howard University, and a law degree from Santa Clara University.

The Training and Education Coordinator is responsible for overseeing education and training efforts for students, faculty, and staff across Cornell’s campuses. Theoria joined the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX in 2018. She has served the Cornell University community since 2010. Prior to joining the Office, she served as Assistant Director in the division of Student and Campus Life and as a Residence Hall Director. Theoria has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a masters degree from Western Illinois University, and a doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis in Higher Education Management.
